2 AQI deaths in clashes with Diala security forces

DIALA / IraqiNews.com: An Emergency Contingent force killed two members of al-Qaeda network in clashes that erupted inside a village of the district of Khanaqin on Monday, the Diala police chief said. “Armed clashes broke out between forces from the Iraqi Emergency Contingent in Diala and operatives of al-Qaeda in Iraq (AQI) in al-Nada area, Khanaqin district, (155 km) northeast of Baaquba city, leaving two AQI members killed,” Maj. General Abdulkareem Khalaf told IraqiNews.com news agency. Shimari did not give further details about the clashes. The Iraqi security forces have launched successive military operations since June 2008 to track down members of al-Qaeda in the province of Diala.
