8 AQI members arrested in Diala

DIALA / IraqiNews.com: A combined Iraqi force on Saturday arrested eight members of al-Qaeda in Iraq (AQI) network north of Baaquba city, according to the Diala police chief. “The arrests took place in a raid conducted by a combined Iraqi army-police force,” Maj. General Abdulhussein al-Shimari told IraqiNews.com news agency. He said that a roadside bomb went off at al-Moalimeen neighborhood, central Baaquba, causing damages in a shop but left no casualties.
