Saudi security delegation’s expected visit to Baghdad requires more preparations, says official

(IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ghanim al-Jumaili attributed the postponement of the planned visit of the Saudi security delegation to Baghdad to settle the issue of exchanging prisoners, to the lack of readiness of both countries.

The Saudi security delegation was planned to visit Baghdad on last Monday to discuss settling the prisoners exchange between both countries.

The Saudi Sharq newspaper quoted Jumaili as saying “The visit was postponed for several times due to the two countries’ lack of readiness,” noting “The Iraqi embassy did not receive any exact date for the visit.”

“The concerned sides at the prisons files in both countries are ready to conduct the visit and there is no any obstacle in this regard,” he stressed.
