20 Civilians killed, wounded in Tikrit

Salah-il-Din, Tikrit (IraqiNews.com) Six civilians were killed and 14 others were wounded when three mortar shells hit a youth gathering at Tigris river of Samara district of southern Salah-il-Din province.A security source of Salah-il-Din Police Department reported to IraqiNews.com ”Three mortar shells hit a house at the banks of Tigris river under the main bridge of Samarra.””The fall of the mortar shells resulted in killing six civilians and wounding (14) others,” the source added.”The security force imposed a security cordon over the incident area transporting the corpses to the morgue and the wounded civilians to Samarra General Hospital for treatment,” the source concluded.
