9 Soldiers, gunmen killed, wounded in Tikrit

Salah-il-Din, Tikrit (IraqiNews.com) Nine elements of the Iraqi Army and gunmen were killed and wounded due to armed clashes to the north of Tikrit city.Security source reported to IraqiNews.com correspondent ”An armed clash occurred between gunmen and the Iraqi Army / 48th Brigade/ in Sukryata area of Ciniya district of western Beji district.””The armed clash resulted in killing three soldiers and four gunmen, among them the terrorist in charge of the (Islamic State of Iraq) which belongs to Qaeda Terrorist Organization, while two other gunmen were wounded,” the source added.”The force transported the dead bodies of the soldiers to the morgue and the wounded people to Beji hospital for treatment,” the source pointed out.”The forces kept the terrorist corpses under custody to be identified and launched a raid-search campaign looking for the rest gunmen,” the source concluded.
