Sihail, discusses with parliament Legal Committee, endorsement of parliament elections law

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The First Deputy parliament Speaker, Qusai al-Sihail stressed the necessity to approve the coming parliament elections law and conduct the elections as scheduled.

A statement by Sihail’s office reported “The 1st Deputy Speaker chaired the meeting of the parliament Legal Committee where they discussed the coming parliament elections law draft and the different views about it and possibility of reaching an agreement concerning the proposals submitted in this regard.”

“Sihail highlighted the need to endorse this law as it helps regulate the coming parliament elections, urging at the same time, to launch the elections as scheduled,” the statement added.

“On other hand, the Deputy Speaker discussed with the Finance Committee a number of law drafts related to the Committee’s job especially the general budget and the necessity to prepare for it to ensure good exploitation,” the statement concluded.
