US condemns Diyala bombing

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The USA condemned the bombing that targeted Abu Baker al-Sideeq mosque in al-Muqdadiya district of Diyala province.

The US Secretary of State’s Deputy Spokesperson, Mary Huff, said “The US condemns in the strongest terms the terrorist bombing that hit the mosque in Diyala on Friday, and we would like to offer warm condolences to the victims’ families.”

Huff described the attack as despicable and coward, noting “Committing such attacks in the worship places and during the holy month of Ramadan demonstrates the nature of committing such crimes.”

A suicide bomber detonated his bomb vest targeting worshipers after they got out of Abu Baker al-Sideeq mosque in Mugdadiya district, thus resulted in killing and injuring 65 worshipers.
