8 steel-framed schools to be built in Diwaniya

DIWANIYA / IraqiNews.com: An international company on Thursday initiated work on a project to set up eight steel-framed schools in Diwaniya, as part of a plan to build 100 others nationwide at a total cost of $139 million U.S. dollars. “The completion period of the project is 180 days,” the media director of Diwaniya’s educational department, Abdellah al-Aameri, told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Each school has three stories, three administrative suites, 12 classrooms and a laboratory,” Aameri explained. “The schools are designed to accommodate up to 500 students each,” he added. Diwaniya, the capital city of Diwaniya province, lies 180 km south of Baghdad. SS (P) 1
