Urgent – .13 persons, mostly policemen killed, injured in Mosul

Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) 13 persons mostly policemen were killed and injured in an armed attack on police brigade to the south of Mosul.

Security source told Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “Unidentified gunmen shot police brigade, killing seven policemen and injuring four others at Shura crossroad, 70 km to the south of Mosul, capital of Nineveh.”

“The gunmen fled after waging the attack while the police cordoned off the incident spot in search of the perpetrators, while the policemen were transporting the dead bodies and the injured an IED exploded near the incident place resulted in wounding two of the ambulance’s staff,” the source added.
