Nijaifi key nominee as Nineveh Governor, says MP

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Mohamed Iqbal of the Mutahidoun Coalition expected renewing nominating the former Governor of Nineveh, Atheel al-Nijaifi, for another term.

Iqbal told Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “Nijaifi is still the key nominee as Governor and the political consensus among the winning blocs at the province’s Provincial Council supports this topic.”

“The issue has nothing to do with the acceptability, but it depends on the political deals among the blocs on background of the elections results,” he stressed.
