Economic development conference launched in Sulaimaniya

SULAIMANIYA / IraqiNews.com: A four-day conference on the fourth stage of economic development was launched on Monday in Sulaimaniya, with the participation of representatives of UN organizations and local officials. The conference aims at drawing up plans for the development of the economic and social sectors in the province’s suburbs of Sayyid Sadeq and Sharazor. “I call on UN organizations to take care of other Kurdish suburbs and towns,” Suz Abdelqadir, the deputy head of Sulaimaniya’s provincial council, said at the beginning of the conference. “Most of the province’s suburbs suffer from random planning, and the UN role in this regard is very important,” she added.
