No prisoners from Diwaniya within Abu Gharib, Taji escapees, says security official

Diwaniya (IraqiNews.com) Diwaniya Police denied presence of escapees belonging to Diwaniya province within those escaped from Abu Ghraib and Taji prisons

Gunmen had attacked Abu Ghraib and Taji prisons in Baghdad using IEDs, mortars and machine guns in an attempt to free the prisoners where they managed to free hundreds of inmates including Qaeda leaders.

Diwaniya Police Commander, Brigadier, Abdul Jalil al-Asadi told IraqiNews.com “No prisoners from Diwaniya are within those escaped from Taji and Abu Ghraib prisons,” confirming “Diwaniya Police are highly coordinating with the adjacent provinces to arrest any wanted individuals.”

Asadi pointed out that “We set reliable measures to face any emergency state as we have strong intelligence service.”
