Waili describes hosting Aftan at parliament as "Routine"

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Shirwan al-Waili, of the State of Law Coalition described hosting the Electricity Minister, Karim Aftan, at the parliament as “A routine that is repeated every year,” calling to “Investigate some key officials.”

In a press conference held at the parliament on Saturday, he said “The officials of the Electricity Ministry used to mislead the public by their statements over the electricity where Aftan has announced, during the parliament session of Saturday, that Iraq needs about 17 thousand Mega Watt where the real need is more than 20 Mega Watt.”

“Investigating Aftan is a route that is repeated every year where the same questions are asked and there is no use of such investigation,” he added.

“The electric situation requests to investigate some key officials because we used to dismiss the Electric Minister due to this situation,” he pointed out, calling to “Make use of the electric situation of Kurdistan Region.”
