Sadrist MP describes releasing Saudi prisoners by Maliki as "Political deal"

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Hussein al-Shirifi, of al-Ahrar bloc within the Sadr Trend, described releasing the Saudi prisoners by the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, as “A political deal.”

In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com, he said “Releasing the Saudi prisoners by Maliki is illegal and a clear violation to the Article 73 of the constitution.”

“This is a disparagement to the Iraqi victims who were killed by those prisoners,” he concluded.

Earlier, some sources assured that Maliki issued a private amnesty decision for 17 Saudi prisoners.
