Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Minister of Youth and Sports, Jasim Mohamed Jaafar, expressed his concerns over hosting Gulf Cup Championship 22nd in Iraq on time.The Minister stated to IraqiNews.com ”We are not optimistic about holding the Gulf Cup Championship 22nd on Time,” noting that ”The statements which are currently spreading are to prepare a certain political situation to host the championship.””The Ministry of Youth and Sports completed all its facilities and the rest steps required to finalize the Sports City depend on Basra Local Government, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Tourism and Ministry of Transportation,” he added.

The Heads of the Gulf Football Unions decided by majority to grant Basra a timeout till 5/ October to be fully prepared to host Gulf Cup Championship 22nd. \END\
