Escape of prisoners in Iraq, Libya associated with unrest in Egypt, says Egyptian former MP

(IraqiNews.com) The former Egyptian MP, Mohamed Abu Hamid believed that the escape of prisoners in Iraq and Libya is related to the situation in Egypt.”

Gunmen had attacked on last Sunday Abu Ghrab prison and Taji prison in Baghdad using IEDs, mortars and machine guns where they managed to free hundreds of prisoners including Qaeda leaders.

While more than 1200 prisoners in Libya escaped from Al-Kuwaifiya prison in Benghazi on 26th of past July in light of the security chaos following assassinating four notable civil and military figures in the city.

The former Egyptian MP said in a comment on the escape of prisoners in Iraq and Libya on Twitter page “I think the escape of those prisoners are correlated with the unrest in Egypt,” noting “The Egyptian borders should be strictly controlled to prevent the infiltration of terrorist elements who escaped from the prisons in Iraq and Libya.”
