Maliki, Biden discuss security situation in Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, and the US Vice-President, Joseph Biden, discussed the security situation in Iraq.

A statement by the White House cited on Saturday “Biden phoned Maliki to express his condemnation for the recent wave of violence in Iraq.”

“Biden expressed his condolence on behalf of the US citizens for the victims of terrorism in Iraq,” the statement continued.

“Both sides emphasized the necessity for mutual cooperation to support Iraq in pursuing the terrorists responsible for recent attacks to present them for justice,” the statement concluded.
