Ministry of Sport invites President of FIFA to visit Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Ministry of Sport and Youth invited the President of FIFA, Joseph Blatter, officially to visit Iraq.

A statement by the Ministry received by IraqiNews.com quoted the Minister of Sport and Youth, Jasim Mohamed Jaafar, as saying “The Ministry invited Blatter to visit Iraq to see how greatly the Iraqis are fund of the football matches.”

“The Ministry explained in the invitation that football is a means for spreading peace in Iraq as he did in his visit to Palestine when he confirmed peace,” the statement concluded.
