CBI sales of US Dollar rise during Monday auction

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Central Bank of Iraq announced on Monday the rise of its US dollar sales in the auction of Monday after it reached $162,780,000 last Sunday.

The CBI reported in a statement received by IraqiNews.com “The size of the dollar sold by the Central Bank amounted to $288,639,000 USD at an exchange rate of 1166 Iraqi Dinars per $1 USD during the auction which included participation from 24 banks.”

“The price of the cash dollar sale and the remittances reached 1179 Iraqi Dinars against the dollar including the commission of the Central Bank of Iraq which was up to 13 Iraqi Dinars for each US dollar while the cash dollar buying sale peaked at a rate of 1171 Iraqi Dinars,” according to the statement.

“The CBI will continue selling and buying the US Dollar at price of 1166 Iraqi Dinars within the same adopted commission,” the statement stressed.
