Water project wrapped up in Karbala
KARBALA / IraqiNews.com: Work has completed on a water project in a northern Karbala village at a cost of over $275,000 U.S. dollars, Karbala governor said on Saturday. “The project will serve 30,000 people in the village, which suffered from a lack of water networks,” Governor Aqil al-Ghazaali told IraqiNews.com news agency. The project was conducted as part of the 2008 provincial development program. The holy Shiite city of Karbala lies 110 km southwest of the Iraqi capital Baghdad. SS (P) 1
