Ring road to be built in Kut
WASSIT / IraqiNews.com: A local company was assigned to embark on a ring road project in Wassit province at a cost of 79.224 billion Iraqi dinars, the city’s governor said on Monday. “The project, part of the investment plan’s projects this year, will take 900 days,” Lateef Hamad al-Torfa told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The road, 18 km long and 12 meters wide, will circle the city of al-Kut to link the Kut-Baghdad highway to the Kut-Amara highway,” said Torfa. Kut, the capital city of Wassit, lies 180 km southeast of Baghdad. AmR (P)/SR 1
