Ubaidi describes Article 140 of constitution over disputed areas as “Legally expired”

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The member of the Iraqiya Slate, Yasin al-Ubaidi, stressed that the attempts of some political blocs to apply the Article 140 of the constitution over the disputed areas including Kirkuk as “An attempt to bring life back to the dead.”

He stated to IraqiNews.com “Article 140 is legally expired according to the constitution that set a time-line for this Article.”

“There are hints over reactivating this article through agreement between the central government and the regional government of Kurdistan,” he concluded.
