Hakim assures to Barzani importance of historical alliance between SIIC, KDP

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, congratulated the President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, on the 67th anniversary of the Kurdistani Democratic Party.

A statement by the SIIC received by IraqiNews.com cited “Hakim, in the congratulatory letter, assured the importance of the historical alliance between the SIIC and the KDP, wishing all the best to Barzani to bring the dreams of the Kurdish people true.”

The statement quoted Hakim, as saying “I would like to congratulate you on the 67th anniversary of the KDP where we remember the big sacrifices that you submitted to fight the dictatorship and tyranny, assuring the importance of preserving the historical alliance between us and wishing all the best for you to achieve the noble goals of the Kurdish people and Iraq.”
