Maliki calls for increasing oil, gas production

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki on Friday called for increasing oil and gas production and exports to achieve development and security in the country. “Realizing security and development in Iraq depends on increasing oil and gas production,” al-Maliki said in his word during the inauguration of a forum on reviewing the oil policy in Iraq. “It is necessary to increase the production and exports of oil and gas to achieve security and development in Iraq,” he said in the forum aired by satellite channels. “The oil establishments need to be rehabilitated,” he noted.
