Shara’a: Electric crisis to be settled through investment

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Furat al-Shara’a of the Parliamentary Oil and Energy Committee stated that the electric crisis can be settled through investment only.

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said “There are serious actions regarding the electric sector but they are insufficient,” noting that “The Energy Committee believes that the electric crisis in Iraq can be settled through the investment or endorsing a law draft that allows the local government to develop this sector in addition to the role of the Oil ministry to support it.”
