Political disputes behind hindering performance of PCs, says MP

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Mohammed al-Da’ami, of the Iraqiya Slate denies imposing conditions on the Provincial Councils.

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said “There are no conditions over the performance of the PCs and the political disputes hinder their performance,” noting that “The PCs have executive, legislative and observatory authorities which denies any conditions or obstacles against them.”

“The PCs must adhere to the general interest and avoid the confessionalism and sectarianism in addition to fighting corruption,” he concluded.
