Urgent – Maliki announces alert situation all over Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Commanding General of the Iraqi Armed Forces and the Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki announced that “The Iraqi Government tok all the necessary procedures to avoid any dangerous developments that might result from the Syrian crisis and reports over the possible strike against Syria.”

On his weekly TV speech on Wednesday, Maliki said “We announce adopting the alert situation all over Iraq as a precaution for the possible Western strike against Syria.”
