MP describes Saturday demonstrations as legitimate, legal, peaceful

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Hussien al-Shiriefi, of Ahrar bloc described the demonstrations that were launched on last Saturday all over Iraqi provinces as “Legitimate, Legal and peaceful.”

He stated to IraqiNews.com “These demonstrations call for the citizens’ rights who authorize the parliament to express their views rather than being wealthy,” noting that “MPs who are not concerned with their people are traitors.”

“The demands were clear and they were not against any side so we criticize the attacks against the demonstrators in some provinces,” he added.

He called “To form an active committee to realize the reasons behind the attacks against the citizens in Dhi-Qar.”
