Sadrist MP calls organizers of demonstrations to involve western provinces in demonstrations

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Riyadh al-Zayadi, of al-Ahrar bloc within the Sadr Trend called the organizers of the demonstrations calling to cancel the pensions of the MPs, to urge the western provinces of Iraq to participate in the demonstrations.

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said “The demonstrations which started in the southern provinces had to be canceled because the MPs of the Iraqi National Alliance supported canceling the pensions,” noting that “The problem is that, the western provinces must participate in the demonstrations to pressurize their MPs in those provinces.”

“Canceling the pensions needs to set a new law draft and then endorse it at the parliament,” he added, noting that “The Iraqiya Slate and the Kurdistani Alliance have different stance from the INA.”
