Gunmen attack IA checkpoint northwestern Hilla

Babel (IraqiNews.com) A checkpoint of the 31st Brigade within the Iraqi Army was attacked by gunmen on Monday night in Jurf al-Sakhar district 45 KMs to the northwest of Hilla city of Babel province.

A security source stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The checkpoint was attacked by some gun shot without resulting in human casualties.”

“The soldiers of the checkpoint opened fire against the gunmen who managed to escape,” the source concluded.
