Araji: Judiciary stops investigating several corruption issues due to interferences
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Parliamentary Integrity Committee, Baha al-Araji, pointed out “The judiciary stopped investigating several corruption issues due to the interferences.”
Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said “The citizens, the clergymen and the Integrity Committee have some operations to fight corruption.”
“Two issues affected fighting corruption,” he added, noting that “The first issue is stopping the investigation over corruption issues by the judiciary due to the interferences and the second one is that the corruption started to be political one.”
“The Supreme Judicial Council witnessed some changes that resulted in delaying settling the corruption issues and reconsider some others,” he concluded.
