Nusayif calls to provide guarantees over not affecting Iraq by US attack against Syria

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Aliya Nusayif, called the Iraqi government to request the United States to provide guarantees over not affecting Iraq by attacking Syria.

In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com, she said “The US has to provide guarantees over not involving Iraq in the violence accompanying the attack against Syria which is against the pact between Iraq and the US.”

“Attacking Syria by the US without the involvement of the UN aims at disturbing the region and not only Iraq,” she added.

She called the Iraqi government to consider the “Concerns of the Iraqi people over this issue and convey them to the US to ensure the stability and security in Iraq.”

“We hope Syria not to witness what Iraq had faced such as the destruction of the infrastructures and the governmental institutions in addition to dissolving the army and attacking the people rather than the regime,” she concluded.
