Salah-il-Din Governor survives assassination [09/10/2013]

Salah-il-Din, Tikrit (IraqiNews.com) The Governor of Salah-il-Din province, Ahmed Abdulla al-Jabouri, survived an assassination attempt to the south of Tikrit city.

Security source reported to IraqiNews.com ”Unidentified gunmen opened fire targeting to the motorcade of Governor near Balad district of southern Tikrit city,” noting that ”The Governor and four of his bodyguards were wounded due to the armed attack.”

”The ambulances rushed to the incident area and transported the wounded to the hospital for treatment,” the source added.
