Iraqi Ambassador to Bahrain, Bahraini FM discuss mechanism to upgrade relations

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Bahrain, Ahmed Naef Al Dulaimi, met Bahraini State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Ghanem Fadhil.

A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Ministry received by IraqiNews.com cited “The Ambassador conveyed during the meeting the greetings of H.E. Foreign Minister of Iraq, Hoshyar Zebari, and greetings of the government and people of Iraq to the Kingdom of Bahrain.”

“The two sides also discussed the mechanism of strengthening bilateral relations and activate them at all levels to serve the interests of the two brotherly countries,” the statement continued.

“The two sides also reviewed the course of the political process in Iraq, its stability, activating the Iraqi – Bahraini joint Committee due to be headed by the foreign ministers of the two countries, as well as activating the memorandum of understanding and the activity of the Iraqi – Bahraini Businessmen Council, and granting visas for the Iraqis wishing to visit Bahrain,” the statement added.

“The Ambassador stressed the need for the exchange of visits between officials of the two brotherly countries in a way that serves the development of bilateral relations,” the statement concluded.
