Urgent – Iraq Speaker of Parliament arrives in Tehran – Iran

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, who headed a parliamentary supreme delegation arrived in Tehran in a visit that will last for several days on Saturday noon.

The head of the Iranian Shura Council, Mohamed Hasan Abu Turabi Fard, and the Iraqi Ambassador to Iran, Mohamed Majeed al-Sheikh, received Nijaifi at the airport.

Nijaifi stated to the journalists at the airport that he is pleased to visit Iran confirming the necessity to develop relations with between Iraq and Iran.

For his part, Fard welcomed Nijaifi expressing his hope for Iraq and Iran to be able to consolidate relations in all aspects.
