Vehicle movement ban to be imposed in Kurdistan Region since Friday evening

Sulaimaniya (IraqiNews.com) The General Traffic Directorate of Kurdistan Region decided to ban vehicles movement in Erbil, Sulaimaniya and Dohuk provinces as of next Friday evening.The Director General of Kurdistan Traffic Directorate, Brigadier Zerkar Ali, reported in a press statement received by IraqiNews.com ”The Traffic Directorate decided to ban vehicles movement as of Friday evening that precedes the general ballot day in order to allow the concerned sides to complete the final procedures required for preparing ballot centers.””The vehicle movement will be allowed for people who are living in distant areas from their ballot centers,” the statement added.The elections of Kurdistan Region are scheduled to be held on 21 / September where (1129) candidates from (31) Kurdish political entities are competing to win (100) seats, in addition to the (11) seats that will be granted for minorities in the region. \END\
