5 Soldiers killed, wounded in Tikrit [09/21/2013]

Salah-il-Din, Tikrit (IraqiNews.com) Five soldiers were killed and wounded due to an armed attack to the south of Tikrit city.Security source told Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) Unidentified gunmen opened fire targeting a security checkpoint of the Iraqi Army in Yathrib area within Balad district of southern Tikrit city.””The armed attack resulted in killing two soldiers and wounding three others as well as causing material damages to the checkpoint,” the source added.”The security forces transported the corpses to the morgue and the wounded soldiers to the hospital for treatment,” the source concluded. \END\
