Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki denies imprisoning Iraqi dissidents

Maliki denies imprisonment of resistant people in Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, confirmed “There is no single person who imprisoned in Iraq for being a resistant.”

A press statement received by IraqiNews.com cited “We have detainees for terrorism charges and some others were elements of militant outlaws.”

It is worth mentioning that the Sadr Trend intends to organize demonstrations in Baghdad and other provinces to call for releasing “detainees of the Iraq resistance.”
