Iraq, Iran conclude military cooperation convention

(IraqiNews.com) Iraq and Iran signed a convention of military cooperation in various fields of Navy forces.

In statement briefed by IraqiNews.com ”The convention was signed by the Commander of Iraqi Navy Force, Lieutenant General Ali Hussein Ali, and the Commander of Iranian Navy Force, within the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, Brigadier Ali Fadwi, ” noting that ”The two sides assured to promote and develop relations in the security fields in order to rise the level of defensive cooperation between the Iraq and Iran.”

”The Iranian Commander emphasized during the meeting the importance of developing cooperation relations between the Iraqi and Iranian Navy forces in order to preserve security situation for both countries, while the Iraqi Commander stressed that the cooperation will serve the peoples of Iran and Iraq,” the statement added.”

The two sides signed a cooperation convention in the fields of science, research, technical, training, experiences exchange localization of equipment and appliances, as well as naval cooperation in the Gulf area.
