Urgent – IED explodes against pilgrims in Baghdad

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) An Improvised Explosive Device exploded near al-Nidaa Mosque in Baghdad on Sunday.

Security source stated to IraqiNews.com “The IED explosion targeted the pilgrims who are heading to Kadhmiya holy city to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Mohamed al-Jawad,” noting that “The explosion resulted in killing a pilgrim and injuring seven others.”

“The ambulances hurried to the explosion area and transferred the dead to the morgue as well as the dead to the hospital for treatment,” the source concluded.
