Hakim, SLIR discuss Iraqi, regional issues

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, met the Ayatollah, Ali Khamenei the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Tehran.

A statement by Hakim’s office received by IraqiNews.com cited “Hakim tackled the Iraq and regional issues as well as the mutual relations between the two countries.”

“Khamenei confirmed the historical dimensions of the mutual relations between the two countries,” the statement added.

“He also stressed the importance of enhancing the national unity to confront the enemies of Iraq, expressing his concerns over the continuity of terrorism and wishing Iraqis prosperity and progress,” the statement concluded.
