Girl released in Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Army forces on Wednesday released a girl two days after she was kidnapped in Mosul city, according to an army source. “Today, a force from the Quick Intervention Corps (QIC) freed a girl who was taken hostage in Mosul al-Jadida area, western Mosul,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The 17-year-old girl, called Maryam, was kidnapped two days ago,” the source noted. The source did not indicate whether the kidnappers were arrested. Mosul, the capital city of Ninewa province, lies 405 km north of Baghdad. SS (P)/SR 1
