Child’s body found in Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: The body of a nine-year-old girl who had been strangled to death was found in northern Mosul city, a Ninewa police source said on Sunday. “Policemen found the body on Saturday (March 7) evening dumped in a pond in the area of al-Ghabat, northern Mosul,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Apparently, the girl had been strangled by a shirt she was wearing,” the source added. He said bruises could be seen clearly on the girl’s face but there were no signs of having been shot. Mosul, the capital city of Ninewa province, lies 405 km north of Baghdad. AmR (P)/SR 1
