Iraq Minister of Foreign Affairs, US Ambassador discuss Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki’s upcoming visit to Washington

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hoshyar Zebari, met the U.S. Ambassador to Iraq, Robert Stephen Beecroft, and they discussed the means to promote bilateral relations between the two countries.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported in a statement received by Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) ”The meeting tackled the Iraqi-American relations within the Strategic Frame Convention and the preparations of the upcoming visit of the Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, to Washington.”

”The two sides discussed the common interesting political situations and the developments of Syrian crisis in addition to the efforts exerted by the Joint Envoy of UN and Arab League, al-Akhdher al-Ibrahemi, and the preparations to hold Geneva 2 Conference,” the statement concluded.
