MP Rules out convincing Kurds with old elections law

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Nasrin Anwar, of the Kurdistani Alliance ruled out possibility of convincing the President of the Kurdistan Region Masud Barzani, to adopt the old elections law by the Speaker of the Parliament, Osama al-Nijaifi and his accompanying delegation.Speaking to IraqiNews.com, she reported that ”It is impossible to adopt the old elections law and I do not expect that Nijaifi and his accompanying delegation could convince Barzani of adopting it since Kurds were really damaged due to this law.””The discussions between the Parliamentary delegation and Barzani will reveal the final stance over the elections law, though I do not expect Kurds to accept the current elections law,” she added.The Speaker of the Parliament, Osama al-Nijaifi is supposed to chair a parliamentary delegation heading towards Kurdistan Region to settle disputes regarding the elections law. \END\
