URGENT / IHEC announces 90% of election results

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq’s Independent High Electoral Commission started on Thursday announcing 90% of the results of the provincial council elections five days after they were held in 14 out of Iraq’s 18 provinces. Faraj al-Hadari, the IHEC chief, earlier told IraqiNews.com news agency that the results will be announced as of 05:00 p.m. Baghdad local time Thursday (Feb. 5). “The results will be announced with the figures for each province,” he said.
