Head of al-Taakhi list says gains to increase to 30%

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Head of the Kurdish al-Taakhi (brotherhood) list, Khisro Kouran, said on Friday that the announced elections results are preliminary as there are displaced people who have not voted yet, asserting his list’s gains will increase to more than 30% of votes. “There are between 50,000 to 60,000 votes which will be in our side, the matter which will increase our share to more than 30%,” Kouran added. The National Al-Hadbaa list got the majority of votes in Ninewa with 48.4% while al-Taakhi list ranked second with 25.5% of votes. SH (P) 1
