Sistani assures Tuesday beginning of lunar year 1435

Najaf (IraqiNews.com) The office of the Supreme Religious Authority Ali al-Sistani announced that tomorrow, Tuesday, will be the first day of Muharam Month and the beginning of the lunar year 1435 after Hijra.

A source from Sistani’s office mentioned to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The legal vision of the crescent of Muharam Month, thus, Tuesday will be the first day of the new Hijri year.”

Earlier, the Sunni endowment and Kurdistan Region have announced last Sunday that “Tuesday will be the beginning of the 1435 After Hijra year.
