Kurdish parliament changes its name

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: Members of the Kurdistan National Assembly (parliament) on Wednesday unanimously voted to change its name to Iraq’s Kurdistan Parliament. “This happened during an extraordinary session held under Speaker Adnan al-Mufti,” the correspondent of IraqiNews.com news agency said. “The total number of the Kurdish lawmakers is 111,” he added. “This session assigned to hold a number if amendments to the elections law in the region, including determining the member’s ago to 25 and above,” Adnan al-Mufti said. “Among the amendments; changing the name of the Kurdistan National Assembly to Iraq’s Kurdistan Parliament, according to the law number 1 of 1992,” he added.
