Salih, Mladenov discuss updates in Kurdistan Region

Erbil (IraqiNews.com) Barham Salih, PUK Deputy of Secretary General, received Nickolay Mladenov, Special Representative of Secretary General of the United Nations to Iraq, and his accompanying delegate.

A statement by the PUK received by IraqiNews.com cited “Discussing Iraq and Kurdistan situation, as well as the latest changes in the region, were the main themes of the meeting.”

“The recent parliamentary elections of Kurdistan Region, the next elections of Iraqi Parliament, relations between the Region and the United Nations were also among the most important topics that were discussed,” the statement added.

“Both sides of the meeting emphasized on strengthening the relations and working hard for solving the pending political issues of the area,” the statement concluded.
